Home Town’s Erin Napier Adorably Sings Taylor Swift Song With Daughter Mae in Clip Shared By Ben Napier

Home Town’s Erin Napier showed off her singing talent and got her adorable daughter Mae to sing along with her!

Erin’s husband, Ben Napier, shared a post on Instagram telling his followers to turn their “sound on.” The post featured a photo of Mae, 3, wearing a leotard with her back facing the camera as she stood in front of one of Erin’s paintings. Ben, 41, put an audio of Erin, 39, singing “Lover” by Taylor Swift with her youngest child.

At the end of the video, Mae sweetly pronounced the word “lover” like “muhver.” It was simply adorable!

“I am not a #Swiftie, but this one gets me. It is @erinapier’s song with Mae because one of her baby words that’s hanging on is the way she says mother. They change that one word so maybe @taylorswift won’t be angry,” the craftsman captioned the post on his Instagram account on Monday, February 24. “I love getting to raise our babies with an artist. Their world is so big because of it. Anything can be everything. Carrots are lobster beans, bookshelves are animal hotels, trash is art. Mothers are special. Muhvers are magic.”

Fans of the HGTV couple were quick to comment about how cute the video was.

“‘Muhver’ that little voice instantly warms your heart!!” one person said.

“For me, I just appreciate seeing a man appreciate his wife as a spouse & mother,” another person pointed out.

Another person said, “@erinapier your voice is beautiful and you’re truly an inspiration to us all!”

Erin, who also shares 7-year-old daughter Helen with Ben, has many talents in addition to home improvement projects, including painting and singing, as demonstrated by the Instagram post. Home Town fans have seen Erin sing during past episodes of the show.

“Music was my first love,” she told People in November 2022. “When I was 13, I started to play open mic night at a coffee shop downtown, and it became kind of a thing. There was a newspaper story about it, and by the time I graduated high school, there would be a crowd of 150 people in this little courtyard to come watch me play. And so it reminded me of that. I felt 16 again.”

While fans loved seeing a glimpse of their life with their girls in the recent Instagram post, Erin and Ben both admitted that juggling their busy schedule and parenting certainly took some adjusting, especially with the introduction of their spinoff show, Home Town Takeover.

“Season 1 nearly killed us, it was the hardest thing we had ever done,” Erin told People in June 2024. “I was pregnant, and we had a toddler, and it was COVID and we didn’t know anybody. But now, our girls are 6 and 3 and we have a little more freedom to bring them — they’ve been here with us every step of it.”

Luckily, the pair were able to bring their daughters along for season 3 of the spinoff in Sebring, Florida.

“Their life here was totally different from our life here. They’re on vacation, they’ve been swimming every day,” the mom of two told the outlet.

“They swim and fish and take field trips to the orange grove. This is a dream for them,” Erin gushed. “We’ve had summer vacation feelings the whole time, even though we’re working harder than we’ve ever worked in our lives.”
