The Burnett family is about to get a little bit bigger! CNN star Erin Burnett is pregnant with her third baby, her rep confirmed on Monday, March 12. Erin, 41, and her husband, David Rubulotta — who tied the knot in 2012 — are already parents to a four-year-old son named Nyle Thomas Burnett Rubulotta and a two-year-old daughter named Colby Isabelle Rubulotta.
"We are so excited for number three. As one of three myself, I think it’s a lucky number!" the Erin Burnett OutFront anchor told People in a statement following the happy news of her pregnancy. Shortly after Erin and her husband welcomed their first child, Nyle, in 2013, the TV star gushed about becoming a first-time mom.
"We’ve always wanted this and we’re very lucky. Seeing him for the first time was the most awe-inspiring, joyful moment of our lives," she said at the time. Since Erin often covers difficult topics with her job at CNN, she's also expressed how reporting on subjects like war and gun violence has affected her as a mom.
"I guess in a way because it’s more tangible in my mind. It’s not even so much about having kids, but as you start to get older, you’re like, 'Gosh, we used to be that generation that everyone talked about, the future is yours.' I do think about it, on what kind of world my children will live in, and how I want it to be a place they want to explore and make their own," she previously told The Wrap.

Erin also noted that her kids are now starting to have a basic understanding of what their mom does for work. "We have calls very early in the morning and [my son, Nyle] hears them, he hears when I say, 'Oh wait, we gotta listen to this interview on the radio'… so that’s what he gets to listen to and that’s what he’s exposed to. I figure there’s a positive, it will be good for him over time as opposed to listening to Barney in the morning," she once said. Congratulations on your third pregnancy, Erin!
