This is the best news ever! Author Lauren Weisberger announced on Monday, Dec. 18 that she has written a new book all about our favorite The Devil Wears Prada character, Emily Charlton, who was famously played by Emily Blunt in the 2006 movie. “So thrilled to share with you the cover of my next book, When Life Gives You Lululemons, out summer [2018]!” Lauren captioned a photo of the new installment’s chic cover on Instagram.

Fans of The Devil Wears Prada story couldn’t hide their excitement in the post’s comment section about a novel completely dedicated to Miranda Priestly’s
first assistant, Emily. “Oh! I am all over this. Gonna have to plan a beach getaway to chill with this one,” one of Lauren’s nearly 4,000 followers wrote, with another adding, “Best news I’ve read all day!”

According to Entertainment Weekly — who was lucky enough to get a special sneak peek of the forthcoming book! — When Life Gives You Lululemons chronicles Emily’s new career after leaving Miranda’s fashion magazine, Runway. “Now a high-profile image consultant, Emily must travel to depths she never dreamed she’d have to face: the suburbs of Greenwich, Connecticut. But that’s where the dream client she desperately needs to land takes her, as she begins work for A-lister Karolina Hartwell, who has a DUI to overcome. Rounding out their trio is Miriam, who recently left a prestigious law firm to try her hand at stay-at-home mothering, and finds it far more excruciating than she expected,” EW described the plot.

Anne and Emily in The Devil Wears Prada.

As fans will, of course, remember, Emily was first introduced as a character working at Runway alongside protagonist Andy Sachs in Lauren’s 2003 novel The Devil Wears Prada. When the bestselling book was turned into a hit movie in 2006, Anne Hathaway took on the role of Andy, Emily Blunt played Emily, and Meryl Streep portrayed the magazine’s intense editor-in-chief, Miranda. In June 2013, Lauren published a sequel to Devil titled [Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns]( The book took place a decade after the first story and followed Andy and Emily as they ran the wildly-successful, high fashion bridal magazine, The Plunge, together. We can’t wait to read When Life Gives You Lululemons next summer!
