Here comes the bride... and Elton John! A new report claims that not only will the singer be attending the royal wedding... he'll also be performing for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! Though it's unclear if he will perform during the ceremony or the reception, we're sure it'll be a very special and emotional moment — Elton was a good friend of Harry's mom Princess Diana.
We got our first hint that Elton would be attending the ceremony on February, when he mysteriously cancelled his shows over the weekend of the nutpials, with his last show before the big day being Thursday, May 17 at Caesars Palace. Fans were't thrilled, but this is definitely the best possible reason to nix a performance, right?
While the "Tiny Dancer" singer has yet to confirm the reason behind the cancelations himself, the reports are building. Elton was also in attendance at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding at Westminster Abbey back in April 2011. All signs are pointing towards Elton receiving another royal wedding invitation!

The 70-year-old is in the middle of his "The Million Dollar Piano" residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which he has held since September 2011. It concludes in May 2018, so it looks like Elton may have even canceled his last two shows there!
Elton has made it known that he hopes to be invited to Harry and Meghan's big day, even acknowledging that he was aware of the scheduling conflict of his shows. “It will be nice because I love him very dearly," he said to The Sun in January. “I’m playing in Vegas, so I don’t know what’s going to happen." Well, it looks like he solved that problem!
Both Elton and Harry spent time together at Google camp last summer, and Elton was able to get to know him a bit. “I could tell that he was totally in love,” the father-of-two said during an interview in January. “He didn’t really discuss much personally but he said ‘I’m in love’ and I thought ‘good for you.’ Both of those boys are very special to me because of their mother. Both of those boys seem to be ecstatically happy and that’s all you want people to be.” While the official guest list hasn't been revealed, it's probably safe to say Elton will be in attendance with husband David Furnish.
It's certainly ice to hear some good news about the wedding, because the news surrounding Meghan's family has been bleak lately. First, her brother wrote an open letter asking her not to go through with it. Then her dad had a heart attack and heart surgery, preventing him from going to the wedding. Then her mom quit her job, and her half-sister broke her ankle in a car accident! Hopefully the news is all positive from now on!
