Ellen Pompeo’s $2 Million House Has an Upside-Down Floor Plan and a Picture-Perfect Backyard
For 14 years, Ellen Pompeo has happily starred on Grey’s Anatomy. “Why would I leave something that is super successful and pays me great?” the 47-year-old actress has said of her long-running gig. “It’s only gotten better with time.” And so has her paycheck. In the last year alone, Ellen reportedly hauled in $13 million.
With that kind of cash, the mom-of-three — she shares kids Stella, 8, Sienna, 3, and Eli, 10 months, with hubby Chris Ivery — has been able to amass quite the real estate portfolio, which includes a stunning, two-story house in the quiet Cahuenga Pass area of LA’s Hollywood Hills, according to Life & Style.
Ellen and her music producer hubby Chris, 50, recently put the three-bedroom, two-bathroom property on the market for $2 million, and potential buyers will find plenty to love. Boasting an upside-down floor plan with the living space on the top level, the home has the feel of a sophisticated tree house with full-length glass walls allowing the natural beauty to take center stage.
Interior stonework and poured concrete floors add to the rustic feel of the 1957 built pad, while a thoroughly modern kitchen wows with stainless steel cabinets and top-of-the-line appliances. Ellen is leaving the show-stopping house, but she’s not leaving her TV show. The star recently gushed, “I’m very happy that I made the decision to stay!”
Not only does the lavish home’s master suite boast a floor-to-ceiling glass wall to take in views of the surrounding greenery, it also has a functional outdoor bathtub! And the property’s backyard isn’t too shabby either. Playing host with the most is easy, thanks to the pad’s glam pool, hot tub, and flagstone-paved patio with built-in fire pit and BBQ. Sounds like a dream home, right?!
