‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Ellen Pompeo Goes Shopping With Her Husband Chris Ivery

Just a little bit of down time. Ellen Pompeo and her husband, Chris Ivery, decided to take some time off from their busy schedules to head to Los Angeles for some shopping.

The actress, 49, and her love, 52, were spotted out and about together on Thursday, November 8, shopping it up at Barneys New York. They clearly were all about having a casual and fun day as a couple, and it seems like they did just that. The pair tied the knot in 2007, and they share three kids — daughters Stella, 10, and Sienna, 5, and son Eli, 2. The duo is also quite open with each other. However, Chris did once reveal that he isn’t all about watching his wife’s love scenes on her popular ABC show Grey’s Anatomy.

“There was a time back in the day that I watched it a lot, but then I didn’t know if she had a lover,” the record producer told Us Weekly at the Launch of Sergio Tacchini STLA collection in Los Angeles on February 21, 2019. “I would say I’m not jealous; I’m really confident, but it’s awkward. She’s acting but now she’s got this new lover, which I know him, Giacomo [Gianniotti].”

“He’s a great guy. I actually like him,” Chris said of Ellen’s onscreen lover at the time. “And to be honest, I haven’t watched those scenes because I feel like it can be awkward.” Yet even with all of that, the pair have been happily married for quite some time. But what’s the secret?

“We’ve been doing it for a long time. I think the secret is taking the time that we need,” Chris explained to the outlet. “Like if it’s me and her and we need a date night, we take it. It’s just sort of supporting each other. And obviously with three kids it’s ample. Her on set, me downtown, it’s a lot. But she’s my biggest fan. I’m her biggest fan.” So sweet!

It’s very clear that Ellen and Chris are absolutely crazy about one another, and it is such a great thing to see.
