Life can be a royal pain sometimes — even when you’re the future King of England.

Little Prince George has been struggling to adjust to life at home with his new baby sister, Princess Charlotte, who was born May 2. “He has already started with the terrible twos,” a royals insider tells Closer. “It’s not that he’s especially naughty, but it’s only natural that he has been jealous and frustrated at a baby in the house.”

But George’s parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, have a plan to make sure he feels special — they’re throwing their little prince a huge bash for his 2nd birthday on July 22! The royal family plans to go all-out, says the insider: “They will be making a big fuss of George at his birthday party, which is expected to be at Anmer Hall,” William and Kate’s home in the Norfolk countryside three hours north of London.

Last year, George’s 1st birthday was a low-key tea party, but now, because of Charlotte — who was christened on July 2 — William and Kate, both 33, and the rest of the family will do everything they can to show George how much he is loved.

The party is just one of many things the couple are doing to help George through this phase, says the source. “Both William and Kate have been making really big efforts to spend quality time with him, one-on-one… They [also] ask George to help them out with lots of tasks around Charlotte, like handing them her nappies and wipes, so he feels involved and important.”

While Charlotte is asleep under her nanny’s watchful eye, Kate sometimes takes the opportunity to take her oldest child to the park. On June 19, a dressed-down Kate smiled as George rode his toy truck around nearby Snettisham Park.
