Even royals need fashion inspiration sometimes! In fact, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall copied her daughter-in-law Meghan Markle‘s enviable style during her latest outing to visit the Malmesbury Residents Association in East London on Wednesday, January 23. During Camilla’s royal engagement, eagle-eyed fans noticed the 71-year-old Duchess’ handbag looked quite familiar — because Meghan, 37, once carried the exact same bag!

For her day out, Camilla looked great in a green skirt suit paired with a black shawl that rested over her shoulders. She accessorized her winter look with a pair of black leather gloves, stockings, matching pumps and the exact same dark green purse that Meg was spotted carrying during a visit to Cardiff Castle in Wales with Prince Harry in January of last year. Take a look at how Camilla copied Meg’s style in the photos below!

During her royal outing earlier today, Prince Charles‘ wife carried around her essentials in the “Mini Venice” purse by DeMellier London, the same handbag Meg used for one of her pre-wedding appearances with now-husband Harry, 34, in 2018.

Not only is the $395 bag fashionable and trendy but the brand also supports a great cause. According to their website, DeMellier pays for a set of life-saving vaccines and treatments for a child in need with every bag purchased. While we’re not sure if Meghan and Camilla purposely carried the bags because of this great cause, we do know that DeMellier was shocked when they previously received an order from Kensington Palace.

“I think it’s so great,” DeMellier designer Mireia Llusia-Lindh told People of Meghan carrying their bag last year. “She’s such an incredible role model and such a great addition to the royal family because I think for her, she has such impact worldwide.”

Meghan carrying the “Mini Venice” handbag meant a lot to the designer, especially since she had no idea the Duchess would be the one receiving the bag once it was delivered to Kensington Palace. “She’s sending a really powerful message to customers and to businesses about giving back, being sustainable  — all those things that everyone has to be more aware of,” Llusia-Lindh said. “It gives importance to it and makes it valued. Customers will demand it more and businesses will follow suit. She’s being so thoughtful in helping British brands with a conscience.”
