Drew Barrymore’s Kids Are Her World! Meet the ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ Star’s 2 Daughters

Drew Barrymore may have a busy schedule thanks to her iconic Hollywood career, but the legendary actress will always make time for her two kids. The Drew Barrymore Show star couldn’t feel luckier to have daughters Olive and Frankie as her adorable little girls.

Drew became a mom during her marriage with her third husband, Will Kopelman. The Charlie’s Angels alum and the Intern actor tied the knot in 2012 and started their family when they welcomed their eldest daughter, Olive, that same year. Two years later, the couple’s second daughter, Frankie, arrived in 2014.

Sadly, Drew and her lover called it quits following four years together in 2016. The 50 First Dates star was previously married to first husband Jeremy Thomas from 1994 to 1995, and second spouse Tom Green from 2001 until 2002.

Although Drew and Will are no longer a pair, the Golden Globe winner said they’re coparenting with “love” and “honesty.” Drew opened up about raising her kiddos with her ex-hubby while stopping by The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2017.

“[Divorce] was just, like, my worst nightmare [as a parent],” she told host Ellen DeGeneres at the time. “I wanted to raise kids in this ultra-traditional way and do everything so the polar opposite of my experience.”

While it didn’t work out the way she hoped, the doting mom said the former couple always try to set a positive “tone” around Olive and Frankie. “Kids watch what you do every single day of your life, all day long, and that behavior and that example and that love and community and honesty is what’s making everything feel safe for my kids.”

The E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial actress was in a “very dark and fearful place” following her divorce from Will, but she’s since learned to embrace her life as a single mom. Drew said she’s focused on raising her kids in the most “modern” way as possible.

“[My kids] know I’ve got them and their dad’s got them and Grammy and Poppy… like their cousins and [Will’s sister, Jill Kargman],” she shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “And we do it in a way that I think a lot of other people are probably doing it too. And sometimes, the road is different than what you try to make it or what you expected and you just figure it out, and you figure it out with grace.”

Drew has been in the spotlight since she was 5 years old. The 50 First Dates star has led a plethora of film roles in all different genres, and scenes that some may deem raunchy. Drew admitted in an October 2021 segment on her talk show that she has had conversations to prep her daughters about seeing some of her “wild stuff.”

“‘You are literally going to see so many mixed messages. You are going be like, ‘But Mom — look at what you did!'” she told talk show guest Jason Biggs. “Because that’s the other thing: You don’t know you’re going to be a parent one day when you’re figuring it all out. None of us are like, ‘One day this is going to be catalogued.’ … I never thought about it either. I was just living my life trying to figure out who I was.”
