A mere two days after Drew Barrymore announced her divorce from Will Kopelman, the actress has returned to social media.

Drew, 41, took to Instagram on the evening of Tuesday, April 4 to thank entertainment news outlet PopSugar for recently publishing a profile on her on their site. Following her split from Will after nearly four years of marriage, the mom-of-two addressed their separation for the first time in the PopSugar interview, which was digitally published on Saturday, April 2.

“Thank you, @PopSugar — my dear old fiends and girls club of all things food, beauty, love and fun! This article is so wonderful and I thank [author Anna Roberts] for writing such an amazing piece. It goes above a discussion about [my wine company, Barrymore Wines] and becomes something truly thoughtful,” Drew captioned an Instagram photo of herself during the story’s accompanying photoshoot.

“I had a really hard time a couple of months ago and kind of knew life was heading in a new direction,” she said. “I called someone that I really trust, respect, and believe in, because he has always been the conductor of grace. I said, ‘What’s your advice?’ And he said, ‘You put one foot in front of the other.’ I hung up the phone and I thought, ‘That is why I call this person.'”

Drew added she and Will — who are parents to two kids, Olive, 3, and Frankie, 1 — are now focusing on their daughters’ happiness amid their split. “The only thing I care about, my life’s mission and the only thing that matters as of now is that my daughters know what our lives were like, how we lived, and how much I love them,” she added.
