Drew Barrymore may be an A-list Hollywood actress, but her No. 1 priority is being a parent to her two young daughters, Olive and Frankie.

In a candid new interview, the 41-year-old actress revealed being a celebrity mom isn’t always as glamorous as people think may think.

“I went to parent’s night [at my daughters’ school], and I wore some lipstick and concealer, and I thought the people at school looked at me kind of differently,” she told Marie Claire of motherhood. “I normally come with acne, and Ugg boots, and I thought they were like, ‘Oh That’s nice, she made a little bit of an effort.'”

Drew and her husband, Will Kopelman, welcomed Olive, 3, and Frankie, 1, in September 2012 and April 2014, respectively. Though she loves being a mom, the Charlie’s Angels star previously admitted raising two kids can be an “emotional roller coaster.”

“You just care so much about how to be the best mom, the perfect mom — even though there’s no such thing as perfection, you expect that of yourself… [Motherhood] is an emotional roller coaster,” she said in a previous interview with E! News.
