It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Donny Osmond! The beloved singer announced on Monday, Dec. 10 that his 20-year-old son, Joshua Osmond, will be returning home from a two-year mission trip in Italy just in time for the holidays. So exciting!

The father-of-five took to Instagram earlier this week to share the great news with his fans. “A wonderful reunion in Rome!” Donny captioned a photo of himself, Joshua, and his wife, Debbie Osmond. “After two years of valiantly serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Italy, our son Josh will return home with us for a reunion with the entire family. What a birthday! What a Christmas!”

Donny’s son Josh is the youngest of the Osmond kids. The star and Debbie are also parents to sons Donald Osmond, 39, Jeremy Osmond, 37, Brandon Osmond, 33, and Christopher Osmond, 28. Josh was also the fifth of the Osmond boys to go on a mission trip to Europe.

In September 2016, Donny shared a sweet Instagram video of Josh reading aloud a letter about his upcoming mission assignment to his family. After he revealed that he would be serving in Rome, Italy, the room of Osmonds burst out in screams of excitement. “Oh, it’s perfect!” proud dad Donny can be heard exclaiming in the special clip — watch the home video below!

Last night our youngest son, Josh, opened his mission call from the LDS church. He's going to Rome, Italy!! We are so excited. All five of my sons have served in Europe. In fact, my son Jeremy went to Italy on his mission back in 2000. When Josh read the letter, the room erupted with pure joy. You've got to see this video. He's so excited to learn Italian and have these life-changing experiences as an #LDSMissionary in Italy. It's pretty emotional for Debbie and me because, as we've experienced with our other sons, we send our boy into the world, but that boy never returns. A man comes home. We know Josh will love the people of Rome, and they certainly will love him. #LDS #RomeItalyMission

Flash forward two years later and Josh has finished his mission trip and is heading home for the holidays — congrats!
