Donny Osmond’s Top Instagram Posts From 2019 Prove Exactly Why He’s Our Favorite Family Man
If there’s one person who has had an eventful 2019, it’s Donny Osmond. In addition to him recording his 62nd album, the 62-year-old performer also saw the Las Vegas residency he starred in for 11 years with sister Marie Osmond finally come to an end.
Given how hectic the past 365 days have been for the “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” singer, it may come as a surprise to you that many of Donny’s top posts from Instagram are all about family. Two, in fact, are focused on wife Debbie Osmond.
The first one celebrates their longtime marriage. “Happy 41st #anniversary to my sweetheart, Debbie,” he wrote on May 8 in the top-liked post of the year. “The best decision I ever made was to share my life and heart with you. ❤️#MyBetterHalf #ForeverInLove.”
The other, from February 26, celebrated his “eternal sweetheart” turning 60. “I’ve never met someone who personifies beauty like Debbie does. Anyone who knows her would agree that she glows wherever she goes,” he wrote. “And perhaps the best part of all – her mind and heart are just as radiantly beautiful as she is on the outside.”
This wasn’t the only person in the “Puppy Love” singer’s life to turn the big 6-0 this year, though. Sister Marie also hit the milestone and, in addition to surprising her on The Talk, he wrote about what she means to him.
“Those kids had no idea how much time they’d spend dancing together on stage,” he captioned an adorable video of them as kids. “Marie has been my partner in crime from the very beginning, and I’m extremely proud to be her brother. We’ve experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows together. From countless rehearsals and touring the world, to great losses and wonderful successes, Marie has been there for me every step of the way. Even though we give each other a hard time on stage, we share a tried and true bond. I’ve learned invaluable lessons from her, and I treasure her love and friendship now more than ever. One of the greatest gifts our parents ever gave us was each other. Happy 60th, @MarieOsmond!”
If we had to pick a favorite, we’d have to go with the one Donny wrote about the bond between him and the rest of his brood.
“This is my family. They mean the world to me. My relationship with them means more than any money, award, gold record, trophy or accolade,” the emotional post from September 7 reads. “Years ago, my wife, Debbie, and I made the joint decision to raise our five boys in an environment removed from the spotlight. That meant keeping our home a safe space, and for years we did not allow camera crews into the house.”
