The iconic Donny & Marie Las Vegas residency may have come to an end this year, but Donny Osmond assured fans that wouldn’t be the last we’d see of him. While reviewing the results of his 2019 year in review on Spotify, the beloved “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” singer revealed he’s taking some well-deserved time off to work on some exciting new projects.

“Wow, #2019 will be hard to beat. Thank you for listening and singing along year after year,” the 61-year-old hunk gushed in the caption of his Instagram post on Thursday, December 5. “I can’t wait to share with you what I have coming your way in 2020.⁣”

For the past year, Donny has kept fans in the loop regarding his 62nd studio album that is currently in the works. “I’m taking a lot of time off right now to focus on writing #newmusic,” he continued in the post. “I’ve written about 40 new songs, and I expect to write at least 40 more before I’m satisfied with the 10 that I’ll release on my 62nd album.⁣”

The Dancing With the Stars alum even gushed about one song he’s particularly excited for. “I’ve been working on a dance track today that could be the closing song of the show when I tour,” Donny explained. “It won’t matter whether you can dance. This one is going to get everyone out of their seats dancing up a storm. Can you tell I’m excited for next year or what! 😉🎉”

Ever since the “Crazy Horses” crooner first announced he was working on his 62nd studio album this past January, fans have been dying to get a sneak peek. “Oh man, I can’t wait until you release it!!” one fan wrote in the comment section of Donny’s Instagram post, while another echoed, “Woohoo a new CD from my favorite peacock!” A third follower chimed in, writing, “I’ve listened to you for 50 years, and will for as many more as we are blessed with. Keep your music coming!”

Throughout the last few months, Donny has shared a handful of updates regarding the progress of what we can expect from him music-wise. In September, the Masked Singer star revealed he was over the moon over how the album was coming along. “As many of you know, I’m getting prepared to release my #NewAlbum soon,” he wrote in the caption at the time. “To say I’m excited for you to hear this 62nd album is a SERIOUS understatement.”

We can’t wait to hear all of Donny’s new tunes!
