If Donny Osmond could go back in time, he’d tell his “younger self” to stay positive and and “keep dreaming big”. The former teen idol posted a cute throwback photo and revealed the advice he wishes he could share with “Little Donny.”
“The face of a boy who has seen his picture as a poster for the first time,” the 62-year-old wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, August 26. In the snap, the Masked Singer star, who was just a youngster at the time, held up a poster of his and his older brothers’ band, The Osmonds.

“Little Donny, you had no idea what amazing things were coming your way,” the Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat alum continued in his caption. “Keep dreaming big, working hard and enjoying every step of that wild ride ahead of you! Do you ever think about what you might tell your younger self if given the chance?”
As fans know, the “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” singer first made his rise to fame in the 1970s when he joined his older brothers in the Osmonds. Donny went on to star alongside his sister, Marie Osmond, in their ’80s variety series, Donny & Marie.
Although Donny has accomplished a lot over the last five decades, he isn’t anywhere close to retiring. In fact, the Mulan star has been working on his 62nd album since January 2019. “I’ll keep you posted throughout the year as I continue creating it, but I have a feeling you’re going to love it,” he announced at the time.
Three months later, Donny revealed his album was coming together as he “wrote another” tune. “Bit by bit. Song by song. Album 62 is taking shape,” the performer — who shares sons Don Jr., Jeremy, Brandon, Chris and Josh with wife Debbie Osmond — captioned his post at the time.
In August 2020, the handsome hunk gave fans an exciting update. “I’m planning to share some of my new music with you over social media very soon,” he wrote via Instagram alongside an old photo of him performing on stage. “Stay tuned!”
