Donnie Wahlberg is looking back at this past year with appreciation. The Blue Bloods actor shared a reflective post for New Year’s to celebrate entering 2025.

“In a year of emotional farewells, happy reunions, thrilling surprises and new beginnings, one thing was always present in #2024 — the love and kindness that I felt from so many,” he captioned a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, January 1. “There are a million words (and feelings) that hit me when I look back at the past year, but ‘Thank you’ are the two most meaningful.”

“Thank you to every single person that I had the honor of saying hello to, snapping a selfie with or giving a welcome hug to,” he continued. “Thank you for every kind message, for every word of support and for every ounce of positive energy that so many of you sent my way. I hope I did a decent job of sending that love and energy right back to you. Most of all, thank you lord for the blessing of another year.”

“Not a single day was promised to me and I’m so grateful for each and every one of them — and for the many moments that I was blessed to experience over the last twelve months,” the post concluded. “I look back on #2024, with love and gratitude! I look forward to the coming year, exactly the same way! We’re on to #2025!”

The video montage featured clips of Donnie, 55, and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, attending events with his family and performing with New Kids on the Block. There were also several clips of him on the set of Blue Bloods with his costars, singing and dancing along to music, as well as behind-the-scenes moments.

Donnie and his Blue Bloods costars said goodbye to the hit CBS series in the December 13 finale episode. His character, Danny Reagan, ultimately ended up asking Maria Baez out for pizza, hinting that there was something romantic going on between them off camera.

Luckily, Donnie assured fans that a Blue Bloods spinoff might be around the corner.

“It’s been discussed,” he told Closer on December 13. “I’m sure it’s been discussed in multiple formats and multiple areas with multiple people.”

“But you know whatever’s going to happen with the spinoff is going to have to be done thoughtfully and carefully,” he added. “That’s quite a legacy to live up to after Blue Bloods. And if the show doesn’t carry on some of those magical elements of Blue Bloods, then I think it would be a disservice to the show. So, it’s really just it’s being talked about.”

Overall, Donnie is proud that he was part of such an impactful program for 14 seasons.

“We worked hard to represent the people of New York and the NYPD, and we worked hard to keep the show going and to keep it compelling for 14 years,” the singer told Fox News Digital on December 14. “And it was a lot to say goodbye. It might sometimes, from the outside, seem weird, like, ‘Oh, all these actors are crying that their show’s over.’ But we did become a family, and we did become a family with the crew. And just to say goodbye to them was emotional.”
