At his age, Don is still touring as a stand-up comedian and tells Closer that he doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.
“My head is still there, and I know it’s healthy to keep working,” Don explains. “As long as the audience shows up and laughs, I’m there and I’m delighted.”

And he’s got the same positive attitude about turning 90 next year! “I hope I can go longer than that. When I turned 89, I said, ‘Holy mackerel, where did the time go?’ But thank God, I’m still going out, and my wife keeps me busy. It’s a good life,” he tells Closer.
Don and wife Barbara celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. On the secret to their lasting marriage: “The main thing is the friendship and loyalty you develop. When things are down, you have someone at your side who believes in you. And when things are up, you have great times — and that’s been our marriage.”
