DIY Friday: Craft a Vintage American Flag for the Fourth of July!
For this week’s DIY Friday, Tanya Memme headed to Hallmark Channel’s hit daytime talk show, Home & Family, to give a tutorial on how to craft a vintage American flag — the perfect home decor for Independence Day!

Follow the instructions below to craft your own DIY vintage American flag!
Materials:
-
Ribbon
-
Lace
-
Thread fabric
-
Denim
-
Burlap
-
Dowel
-
White fabric paint
-
Star stamp or stencil
-
Scissors

Directions:

Start with a dowel to hold everything together at the top

Stamp white fabric paint to the denim giving it some imperfections, which adds character to the piece

Cut and rip the materials at different lengths
-
Lay out the design to make sure everything is color coordinated
-
Glue everything together and attach to the dowel
-
You can also add other items like rings to give the flag your own personal touch

Since the materials are not weather resistant, its best to keep this flag indoors
-
Take your beautiful flag and attach on the wall!
