He was one of the greatest comedians of all time, but following Jerry Lewis’ untimely death from natural causes on Sunday, Aug. 20, fans are curious to know more about the late star. One thing, in particular, was: Did Jerry have any children?

Turns out, Jerry was actually a father-of-seven! He married his first wife, Patti Palmer, in 1944 after two months of dating, and the two welcomed six sons together before their eventual divorce in 1980.

Jerry and Patti later adopted their second son Ronnie in 1949 before Patti gave birth to son Scott in 1956, son Christopher in 1957, son Anthony in 1959, and son Joseph in 1964. Joseph sadly died in October 2009 from committing suicide after struggling with drug addiction.

After his split from Patti, Jerry remarried to SanDee Pitnick in 1983 and the two were together until his death in 2017. The couple adopted their now 25-year-old daughter, Danielle Sarah Lewis, back in 2004 when she was 12 years old.

Although Jerry was married for most of his life, the star had many affairs during his marriages. One even led to a rumor that he’s the father of a “love child,” a daughter named Suzan Minoret born in 1952, whose mother is famed model Lynn Dixon. It’s been said that Jerry and Lynn had an affair for three years, and Jerry has never confirmed nor denied that he’s the dad.

Jerry has also had affairs with stars like Marilyn Monroe. He once said of his infidelity rant, “This is when I’m f**king everybody in Hollywood.” Oh boy!
