A beautiful day! Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie secretly got married at a seaside resort in Santa Barbara on June 2. The couple, who got engaged in October 2019, eloped after they had to postpone their April wedding in Hawaii because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“It was beautiful,” Dennis, 66, recalled about the day to People. “Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride.”

For her wedding day, Laura, 27, wore a gorgeous Chosen By One Day backless dress, which featured a long train and a knee-length veil. The doctoral student walked down the aisle with a bouquet of roses and calla lilies from S.R. Hogue & Co. florist. When asked why she chose that company to make her flowers, Laura said she was moved by their officiant’s message “of what it really means to bring your lives together, to put another person before yourself.”

Dennis, on the other hand, wore a stunning Hugo Boss suit with no tie. The only person who bore witness to the two lovebirds’ ceremony was the pair’s pastor, who watched them exchange vows and their priceless Bulgari rings. Although this is Laura’s first wedding, the Far From Heaven star has been married three times before to Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, Meg Ryan and P. J. Soles.

However, the proud dad to three kids — Jack, Zoe and Thomas — knew “it was love at first sight” when he met Laura at a business event shortly before they started dating in May 2019. “I just love who she is as a person,” the Day After Tomorrow star gushed about his wife, who was class valedictorian at Pepperdine University. “Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty. And her point of view of the world.”

Laura also feels the same about her new husband. “[I’ve] never met someone who is so in love with life. It’s like nothing can bring him down,” she gushed. “Just getting to do life with someone who lives that way is inspiring for me. It changes my perspective and it brings so much joy to every day.”
