Incredible! Denise Richards shared some lovely family news recently when she revealed that her husband, Aaron Phypers, is adopting her youngest daughter, Eloise.

“He’s amazing as a daddy,” the 48-year-old said during an appearance on The Talk on Friday, May, 11. “I think he’s having a harder time adapting to other things with me like my mouth that gets me in trouble,” the former model joked, adding, “He’s amazing with my daughters and he’s adopting my youngest so it’s really great.”

The actress adopted Eloise, 7, as a single mother back in 2011. She also shares two other daughters — Sam, 15, and Lola, 13 — with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen. She and Aaron recently married in September 2018, and she added while on the CBS program that she felt “very lucky” to have tied the knot with him, who is the “best ever.”

Earlier this year, the former Bond girl revealed to the world that her youngest daughter has special needs. “She can only say a handful of words. And there are times when she feels like her age in understanding, and then other times where it feels she’s emotionally 3 years old,” the Wild Things star once told People.

“It’s been challenging. I’m learning every day because they don’t really have a road map for her particular case,” she continued, explaining that Eloise has been diagnosed with a chromosomal disorder that “has caused a lot of developmental delays for her.”

“I don’t know if [Eloise] is ever going to talk like a typical child. But as a parent, you want what’s best for your children, and you just do it,” Denise added. However, The Real Girl Next Door author also doesn’t see her young child any differently.

“To me, it feels like I always had Eloise — there’s no difference between an adopted child or biological child, or Eloise and my older daughters,” Denise said in an interview with The Local Moms Network. “I’ve always believed that we choose our parents and she just chose me another way. She’s my daughter and she’s a part of me.”

Not only does Eloise have a wonderful mother, but she now can say she has a fantastic dad too!
