Laura’s mom is coming home to General Hospital! Daytime vet Denise Alexander is set to reprise her role of Lesley Webber in time for the holidays. Could she be coming for a Christmas visit or perhaps Laura and Kevin’s wedding? Unfortunately, while the soap has confirmed the appearance, they haven’t released any details at all!

Denise made her daytime debut as Lois Adams on The Clear Horizon in 1960, but her big break came when she played Susan Hunter Martin on Days of Our Lives from 1966-1973. After she was written out of Days, Denise was cast on General Hospital as Dr. Lesley Williams. After more than a decade in Port Charles, the actress left to play Mary McKinnon on Another World, but returned to the role of Lesley in 1996. She continued on the soap in a recurring basis for years, but the character basically faded into the background around 2009. She did make a return appearance in 2013 for GH’s 50th-anniversary celebration, however.

Lesley and Rick Webber were one of the popular super-couples of GH in the ‘70s and early ‘80s, but their love story came to an end when Lesley died in a car accident in 1984. Thankfully, it was revealed in 1996 that Stefan Cassadine, who had kidnapped Laura years earlier, was actually holding Lesley in a catatonic state. With Luke’s help, Laura and Lesley were able to escape the Cassadines and return to Port Charles.

The last time Lesley visited Laura in 2013, she didn’t approve of her daughter’s plans to marry Scotty. So how will she feel about Kevin? You’ll have to stay tuned to find out!
