When Soleil Moon Frye gave birth to her four kids, she couldn’t imagine not having her best friend, Demi Moore, in the room with her. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Soleil recalled the time Demi helped her give birth to her youngest son, Story, now 2, when her obstetrician was running a little late.

“She’s like a doctor. She’s like, ‘Alright. I’m here. Step back everybody,'” Soleil recalled. “Demi gets the phone with the doctor, she’s like, ‘If you’re not gonna do it, I’m gonna do it.’ She was ready. But then [the doctor] walked in and within five minutes, the baby popped out. He literally, like, shot out.”

Demi — who has three daughters Rumer, 29, Scout, 27, and Tallulah, 24, with her ex-husband, Bruce Willis — is not unfamiliar with delivery room procedures. In fact, Soleil told the magazine that she prefers to have Demi around when it’s time to push.

“She’s been in all my birth rooms,” she said and noted that her babies “were all almost 10 pounds.” After Soleil gave birth to Story, she lost 26 pounds, but she admitted that women should never feel rushed to lose their baby weight.

“I’ve said before that I don’t feel like we should feel forced to do something or forced to get back in shape immediately. And I didn’t,” she previously told E! News. “I spent that much needed time with Story before I even thought about getting my body back. It’s different for everyone. All I can say is find something that works for you.”

“We put everything into loving and supporting our kids, but we still have ourselves. I hope that I can inspire other mothers to make time for themselves and take the steps toward living a happier, healthier life,” she added. We couldn’t agree more!
