These sharks know how to have a good time!
The TV personality recently opened up to In Touch about his health scare and how his co-stars helped him keep his spirits up while filming ABC’s Emmy-winning reality series.
“Yeah, we goof around all the time,” Daymond, 48 — who stars alongside Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Mark Cuban, and Lori Greiner — told the magazine. “We play the song ‘Rapper’s Delight’ and Mark and I rap, and Kevin and Lori dance.”
During his chat with In Touch, the entrepreneur — who was instrumental in the meteoric rise of the '90s hip-hop clothing brand FUBU — explained why he decided to talk openly about his battle with cancer.
“[I wanted] to make people aware of early detection,” Daymond said. “Get that checkup, Pap smear, mammogram, colonoscopy.”
According to the investor, he is more grateful than ever after his experience with cancer — especially since his story seemed to resonate with fans.
“Mark Twain said the two most important days in your life are the day you’re born and the day you find out why,” he shared. "I’ve gotten thousands of messages from people who are now checking into [their health] and taking care of themselves. I think in a crazy way, that’s why I’m here.”
Back in May, Daymond told Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts that he is ready to fight thyroid cancer again should it return.
"I have another half of my thyroid still in and in the event that it comes back, I'll be able to fight it. Thyroid is a very slow-growing cancer,” he said. "I'm good and I want to share this with people because that's what success is. It's staying in your family's lives, it's being around."
