Meghan Markle’s Friend Daniel Martin Shares Photo of Cute Cookies From Her NYC Baby Shower — See the Pic!
It’s baby celebrating season for Meghan Markle! After touching down in her native United States earlier this week, the Duchess of Sussex’s second day of her baby shower festivities continued in New York City on Wednesday, February 20. Reportedly costing over $200,000, the laviah event had a star-studded guest list with about 20 of Meg’s closest friends “from her teenage years to the present,” including stylist Jessica Mulroney, Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and her former Suits costar Abigail Spencer.
Also on the guest list was the 37-year-old’s close friend Daniel Martin, a makeup artist who made a name for himself by doing Meg’s makeup at her royal wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. While most details of the event remain top secret, Daniel did give us a glimpse inside the exclusive gathering when he shared a photo of his party favor — cute baby-themed cookies! “Such an incredible day celebrating #babylove,” the makeup artist wrote in the caption of the pic he shared to his Instagram page. The photo that Daniel snapped showed three iced cookies in the shape of a baby rattle, a frilly baby’s bib and a stork as it held a baby wrapped in a blanket in its beak. So cute!
This isn’t the first time that Daniel has gushed about his royal friend on social media. In late January, Daniel boasted about Meg’s breakfast skills via Instagram by sharing a photo of their delicious meal while he was visiting London. “Back to our Tig days … ,” he wrote in the caption, referring to Meg’s now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig. “Thank you, Meghan, for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!”
In the pic, Daniel showed off the avocado toast that the former Suits actress whipped up for her close friend. Their meal included tea, chocolate truffles and avocado toast that must have been really tasty considering Daniel sweetly called Meg an “avocado toast whisperer.” If we were Daniel, we’d brag about Meg just as much!
