Season 26 of Dancing with the Stars is already shaping up to be the most drama-filled yet! ABC revealed the full cast during Good Morning America on Friday, April 13, and let's just say there's one controversial member of the first-ever all-athlete lineup.
Before today's big reveal, it was reported that Tonya Harding would be on the show — and sure enough, today she danced away on GMA with her pro partner Sasha Farber. Many critics were angry to see Tonya as a sympathetic character in the Oscar-nominated film I, Tonya, so we're sure there will be some pushback against Tonya now that she's back in the spotlight. The anger goes back to when her competitor Nancy Kerrigan (who was a past DWTS contestant herself) was attacked before the Olympics, and it was traced back to Tonya and her husband. The controversy certainly has our interests piqued...
Prior to the official announcement this morning, figure skater (and big personality) Adam Rippon, who became our new favorite at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea for his quick wit and bubbly attitude, was also said to be part of the cast (he was a riot this morning!). The third reported competitor at the time, who will also appear on the reality series, was 2018 snowboarding darling Jamie Anderson. With her killer moves and athletic ability, we're sure she'll give everyone a run for their money!
DWTS airs on Monday, April 30 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
