Colin Farrell on Relationships: “I Have Not Dated for Four Years Now”

Since becoming a dad, Colin Farrell admits dating hasn't always been on the forefront of his mind. In fact, the actor hasn't been in a relationship in more than four years.

"I have not dated for, oh, four years now. It's just not happening, what with the work, the kids and my life. I know it's not what people expect to hear, but that's the honest truth," the 38-year-old actor said in a new interview.

Though he's been linked to singer Britney Spears and actresses Demi Moore and Angelina Jolie in the past, Colin — who has two sons James, 11, and Henry, 5 — confessed he'd rather spend time with his kids than go out on dates.

"It's not all about you anymore, which is a relief," he explained. "It's about a bigger world, and helping them find their place in it."

"It's not about ‘me, me, me, the loudmouth' any more — and that takes the pressure off me to live up to those old expectations," the 'True Detective' star added.

Colin welcomed son James with his former girlfriend, model Kim Bordenave, 45, in 2003. He fathered his second son, Henry, with his 'Ondine' costar Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, 31, in October 2009 before the couple broke up in mid-2010.

Colin spoke to 'The Sunday Times.'
