Check out some interesting tidbits about the iconic star!
I’ve Always Wanted to Act
“It just came to me early on,” reveals Christine, 67. “My grandparents were Polish actors in Buffalo at the Polish-American theater, so I grew up around flamboyant personalities and music and expressively. It seemed like a wonderful playground. I still feel that way.”
I Want to Dance Into My 90s
“Being a performer, you have to stay healthy. I do Pilates and, whenever I can, I power walk, take yoga or dance in my living room,” the Mamma Mia! star explains. I’d like to go back to my ballroom and Afro-Cuban dancing — it’s one of the things I plan to do if I live to my 90s.”
In My Next Life, I’d Like to Be a Rock Star
“Oh, yeah! There’s nothing like a rock star. I want to be [Rolling Stones frontman] Keith Richards — without the wear and tear, and the toxicity,” notes Christine, a mother-of-two. “A pH-balanced Keith Richards!”
I Love My Age
After supporting roles on Cybill, The Big Bang Theory and The Good Wife, “I got the No. 1 position in my career in my 60s,” says Christine of playing power-attorney Diane Lockhart on CBS’ hit spinoff The Good Fight. “These are the best years of my career. I’m finally a leading lady, after all this time.”
I’m a Cool Grandma
“I have three grandsons. The little one is 8 months old and is named after my late husband, Matthew [Cowles, who died in 2014],” Christine gushes. “I took them to their first hockey game — so much fun! I’m the babysitter par excellence!”
