Christie Brinkley Makes Big Announcement After Celebrating 71st Birthday With Her Family

Christie Brinkley celebrated her magical 71st birthday with her family and friends! The model shared photos from the festivities on her Instagram page, reflecting on her blessings on Sunday, February 2.

“I believe in magic because I have friends like all of you who celebrated a little early with us last night at @sailorbrinkleycook ‘s surprise Fiesta! The Margueritas were flowing‼” she captioned the post. “The laughter,the music, the friendships , family , the love… these are what I cherish the most and am ever so grateful for …Magic indeed!”

In the pictures, Christie’s children, Alexa Ray Joel, Jack Brinkley Cook and Sailor Brinkley Cook, were present to celebrate her birthday. Each of the kids presented their mom with individual birthday cakes that were decorated with frosting and had candles lit on top. Christie looked surprised when her kids held the cakes on the plates in front of her.

Christie shares eldest daughter Alexa, 39, with ex-husband Billy Joel, Jack, 29, with ex-husband Richard Taubman and Sailor, 26, with ex-husband Peter Cook.

Fans took to the comments section to wish Christie a happy birthday.

After spending her birthday with the ones she loves the most, Christie announced a big project. She will be releasing her forthcoming memoir, Uptown Girl, on April 29, 2025. It is currently available for preorder.

“I wrote Uptown Girl to inspire readers to create the life they want, which is what I’ve always tried to do, not through fortune or fame, but by saying yes to adventure and trying to find the magic in every moment, no matter how big or how small,” the Sports Illustrated cover model said in a statement, per People.

The book will feature more than 100 photographs and some of Christie’s own artwork, and is described as a “brave account of a life lived at full throttle and on full display.”
