There’s a new doctor at Grey Sloan Memorial! According to multiple outlets, Chris Carmack is joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy for Season 15.

Deadline has reported that Chris will star in the medical drama as an orthopedic surgeon with the nickname “Ortho God.” His exact name and details on his story have not been released at this time. We do know one thing, though — he’s incredibly handsome!

The actor is known for his role of Will Lexington on Nashville, which just aired its series finale last week. He’s also appeared on Desperate Housewives, Smallville, The OC, Related, Beach Girls, and more.

This news comes after Kim Raver (aka Dr. Teddy Altman) announced she’d officially be re-joining the cast for Season 15. On top of that, this big casting news comes after fan-favorites Jessica Capshaw (aka Dr. Arizona Robbins) and Sarah Drew (aka Dr. April Kepner) left the series for good.

In a previous interview, Camilla Luddington (who plays Dr. Jo Wilson) opened up about being one of the remaining “original” cast members left on the show. “The one thing that I’ve seen in the six seasons that I’ve been on the show is there’s always an influx of new characters and always characters leaving. I think that it’ll be interesting,” she told ET. “It always changes the dynamic of each season, so it’ll be interesting to see how it does change the dynamic of next season and what that means for certain characters that were especially close to those characters, like Jackson. Where does it lead his story? It’ll be an interesting journey next season to see what it’s like without those two characters.”

Season 15 of Grey’s Anatomy airs on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. We can’t to see Chris in action!
