Kids say the darndest things!

During a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, actress Charlize Theron admitted that her two kids — son Jackson and daughter August — have the cutest thoughts on what their famous mama does for work.

“At a very young age, someone asked my eldest, ‘What does your mom do for a living?'” Charlize said, referring to her little boy, Jackson. “He just straight up was like, ‘Uh, she does Halloween for a living’… I realize that they’ve just seen me do such crazy a– stuff.”

Of course, having a mom who’s appeared in more than 45 movies is not the norm, so who can really blame her kids for being confused about her career? Charlize previously adopted both Jackson and August as a single mom — and now loves watching her children interact as siblings!

“I’m an only child, so I didn’t grow up with siblings and so I had no idea the beauty that siblings have with each other,” Charlize explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April. “Like it really is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever witnessed. To see how much they love each other and to see how much they’re excited to see each other. They’re so in love with each other, it’s really beautiful.”
