‘Celebrity Big Brother’ — Meet The Cast Of Season 2, Debuting Jan. 21

Following news that Julie Chen Moonves will be returning to serve as host of the second season of Celebrity Big Brother, now comes the announcement of who the competitors will be (the full break down of which you can see below).

The regular edition of Big Brother, which airs throughout the summer and into the early fall, rounds up people from around the competition, puts them in a house together and has them undergo various competitions to see who is eliminated (as voted by the other house guests) until there is a winner. When season one of the celebrity edition premiered last year, Julie was interviewed by goldderby.com, during which he explained her surprise the show would happen at all and why it was so challenging.

“I never thought we would see a Celebrity Big Brother in the United States,” she said. “We had explored it in season two. I remember one of the verbal commitments we got was Paris Hilton. The big name at the time that we confirmed was Roseanne Barr.

“There were a few huge obstacles to overcome,” she added regarding the version that did go into production. “The time commitment and the expense made it very difficult. Then someone came up with the brilliant idea to counter-program the Winter Olympics. You only need celebrities for a couple of weeks. They crunched the numbers and financially made it possible.”
