So sweet. Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone took to Instagram on Tuesday, Oct. 2 to share adorable photos of her young daughter Paloma for Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

In the post, the 36-year-old opened up about the importance of language and gushed over how lucky she is to have the nearly-two-year-old in her life.

“October is Down syndrome awareness month. Here’s a little info. 1 in 700 babies is born with Down syndrome. Language is important. Parents don’t have a 1 in 700 ‘RISK’ of having a baby with Down syndrome,” she wrote alongside the album of her little girl. “Parents have a 1 in 700 CHANCE of having a baby with Down syndrome, just like they have a 50 percent CHANCE of having a girl and a 50 percent CHANCE of having a boy. (With some beautiful variations in there as well). Differences are beautiful. Language changes how people think. Words are important. #HitTheJackpot #TheLuckyFew #NothingDownAboutIt #Love.”

Caterina previously welcomed Paloma in November 2016 with her husband of nine years, Rob Giles. The husband and wife are also parents to another daughter Eliza, 6.

The actress has always been very vocal about her support for Down syndrome over the years. For example, when brands like Gerber, American Girl Doll, and Anthropology incorporated children with Down syndrome into their respective campaigns, Caterina shared them on her own Instagram.

On top of that, she’s always sharing the sweetest photos of Paloma, whom she loves to call “Pippa,” on her Instagram account. Just last week she shared a cute selfie of the little girl with the caption, “My little dove. #Paloma #Pippa #WiseChild #TrueFriend.” In another adorable snap of Paloma, she wrote, “If you were having a rough day, here’s a smile to remind you that… joy.” That’s exactly what we feel after seeing all of Caterina’s heartwarming posts!
