It’s been nearly five months since radio personality Casey Kasem sadly passed away from sepsis at age 82, but his body still hasn’t been buried.

Following his death on June 15, Casey’s 59-year-old widow, Jean Kasem, flew her late husband’s remains from Gig Harbor, Wash., to Oslo, Norway, where his body has since been stored.

But the famed DJ’s eldest daughter, Kerri Kasem, has been fighting her stepmother to move his body back to the U.S. for an autopsy. The Los Angeles Police Department would like to examine it for the elder abuse investigation against Jean.

And now, Jean is firing back, stating Kerri is the obstructionist preventing a proper burial for Casey, the report states.

TMZ further insinuates Kerri believes Jean could be stalling the body’s relocation until it decays to a point where a coroner would not be able to determine if abuse may have been a factor in the star’s death.

“We are doing something to stop her. Justice needs to be served!” Kerri exclusively revealed to ‘Closer’ in August, claiming her stepmom is “just trying to hide my father’s body from authorities because of the ongoing elder abuse investigation.”

Kerri and Casey’s other daughter, Julie, previously honored Jean’s wishes that the body be released to her. They also told the hospice where Casey died that she would be handling funeral arrangements.
