If we’re being honest, the latest photo Mike Fisher shared of wife Carrie Underwood and their two kids made us cry pretty. The former professional hockey star posted the rare snapshot in honor of the country music star’s 37th birthday.

“Big hugs to momma bear on her special day,” Mike, 41, gushed via Instagram on Tuesday, March 10. “We love you so much! Happy birthday, @carrieunderwood.”

In Mike’s post, Carrie can be seen lying in sweatpants with her back on the hardwood floor as 5-year-old Isaiah and 14-month-old Jacob lay on top of her. The longtime couple’s little men looked more adorable than ever in their themed pajamas.

Fans of the “Before He Cheats” singer and the Canada native — who tied the knot in 2010 — fawned over the heartwarming mother-son moment. “Sweet and precious! No better birthday gift than hugs from your children!” one fan wrote in the comments section. Another added, “How precious. By the looks of this, it looks like she’s enjoying her day!” A third chimed in, gushing, “It never gets better than that.”

The proud parents may be open to sharing the sweet moments in their life, but Carrie and Mike have always been honest when it comes to struggles they’ve faced in both their careers and marriage. In fact, the Grammy Award winner — who revealed she suffered three miscarriages before welcoming Jacob in January 2019 — recently got candid about all things motherhood.

While chatting with Women’s Health for the magazine’s April issue, Carrie discussed the period of time when she struggled to conceive. The American Idol champion explained how the miscarriages changed her life.

“For my body to not be doing something it was ‘supposed to do’ was a tough pill to swallow,” she confessed. “It reminded me I’m not in control of everything.”

Despite any anxiety she faced, Carrie insisted it felt like a “weight lifted off my shoulders” once she broke the news of her miscarriages. “It’s not a dirty secret,” she explained. “It’s something many women go through.”

Isaiah and Jacob couldn’t be luckier to have Carrie as their mama!
