These Precious Pics of Carrie Underwood’s Son Isaiah Fisher Proves He’s the Best Big Brother
In August 2018, news broke that Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, were expecting baby No. 2. While there’s no denying the beautiful couple was so thrilled, Carrie and Mike were even more excited when their baby boy Jacob came into the world in January 2019, joining big brother Isaiah Michael.
“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on [January 21] … his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!” the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer wrote via Instagram at the time she announced Jacob’s arrival. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good.”
Since then, Isaiah has shown just how much he loves his younger sibling by being the best older brother to him. While once gushing over the bond her boys share, Carrie revealed her eldest tot calls Jacob his “baby.”
“He has been so good [while touring]. It is harder … trying to entertain [Isaiah] and take care of the baby,” she shared on the ACM red carpet in April 2019. “[Isaiah] says, ‘My baby. Where is my baby?’ He is really sweet.”
Even before that, Isaiah — who was born in February 2015 — proved just how ready he was to be Jacob’s lifelong buddy when his brother was still in Carrie’s belly. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon amid her pregnancy, the American Idol winner dished Isaiah would “kiss” her baby bump.
“I mean, he’ll be really sweet — he’ll talk to my belly … he’s the sweetest little boy,” she gushed in September 2018. “He’s absolutely amazing.”
Seeing Isaiah relish in his role as an older brother has made Carrie and Mike feel even more relaxed about raising another little boy. “[Jacob is] the cutest thing ever and the family couldn’t be happier,” an insider told Closer Weekly following his birth. “Carrie can’t believe how blessed she is. This is a great time for Carrie and Mike and they’re going to cherish every single moment.”
The source also dished Isaiah and Jacob’s unbreakable bond was formed as soon as they were introduced. “Two boys is a dream come true … Isaiah calls Jacob his little partner in crime, it’s super adorable,” the insider shared.
