You Can Soon Get Your Hands on Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds’ Personal Belongings

Last December, Carrie Fisher and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, sadly died one day apart. And today, the later mother-daughter duo’s personal items and home are being sold.

On Thursday, June 1, Profiles in History auction house announced the news that Carrie and Debbie’s shared estate will soon be hitting the market. They additionally revealed some belongings from the Hollywood icons will be up for purchase as well.

“Profiles in History is proud to announce the Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds’ personal property auction is set for September in LA. September 23rd is the first day of what is expected to be a multi-day auction. There will be well over 1500 lots in this auction, with items for collectors but also items for fans who want to own something special that belonged to Carrie or Debbie,” the website read.

At the auction, buyers can place bids on memorabilia including Carrie’s life-size Princess Leia statue from Star Wars, Carrie’s on-set personalized director’s chair from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Debbie’s lavender dress from the “You Were Meant For Me” skit in Singin’ in the Rain, Debbie’s replica pair of red slippers from The Wizard of Oz, and more!

“Portions of the proceeds will be going to both Debbie’s charity The Thalians and The Jed Foundation, a charity chosen by [Carrie’s daughter], Billie Lourd,” the site continued.

On December 28, 2016, Debbie, sadly died at 84 years old after suffering a stroke just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, passed away from a heart attack at age 60. It was recently revealed that Debbie’s dance studio will be turned into a museum following her passing!

We’re so glad to both of the actress’ legacies live on in such a special way.
