With pregnant Meghan Markle quickly approaching her spring due date, fans all around the world are patiently awaiting Baby Sussex’s arrival. Even members of the royal family can’t wait to meet the little bundle of joy. While out and about during a visit in Havana — part of a 12-day royal tour of the Caribbean with Prince CharlesCamilla, Duchess of Cornwall gushed about becoming a grandma to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first baby.

While greeting fans at Cuba’s capital on Monday, March 25, an American tourist asked the 71-year-old if she was looking forward to meeting her newest grandchild within the next few weeks. “Yes, very much so,” Camilla replied, according to Hello! magazine.

The duchess — who is already the grandma to Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s three kids: Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months, in addition to her own son and daughter’s children — can’t wait to be a grandparent to the newest royal baby. In a documentary titled The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, the blonde beauty opened up about the “wonderful” role that is grandparenting.

“Yes, I’d recommend it to everybody,” she said in the documentary that aired April 2018. “It’s very nice because you haven’t got the full responsibility. You can give them a wonderful time, spoil them, give them all the things their parents won’t allow them to have and then give them back again.”

It seems like Camilla and Charles, 70, are relishing in the excitement together considering he couldn’t help but gush about Meg and Harry’s first baby either. While visiting Royal Lochnagar, a whiskey distillery in Scotland, the Prince of Wales was asked by a fan if he had celebrated the news with a toast. “Oh yes, absolutely,” he said during a tour of the distillery in October 2018 — just days after Kengsinton Palace announced the good news. “Several times.”

While Camilla and Charles are excited to add another grandchild into the fold, Kate, 37, can’t wait for her kiddos to get a new cousin! “It’s such a special time to have little kiddies,” the she said during a visit to Leicester University this past November. “And a cousin for George and Charlotte, as well, and Louis. It’ll be really special.”

We can’t wait for Baby Sussex to arrive, too!
