Farewell NYC, hello LA! Bruce Willis and his wife, Emma Heming Willis, are kissing their Bedford Corners, New York estate goodbye as they get ready to make a big move across the country to California. “The only reasons we are giving it up is because we are so far from our California family, which is why we have decided to return to the West Coast and make our home there,” the 63-year-old actor recently told The Wall Street Journal.

Now that their children are older, the famous couple thinks it’s the right time for them to return back to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. “We wanted our kids to be able to have more room and a yard to run in,” Emma, 40 — who shares daughters Mabel, 6, and Evelyn, 4, with Bruce — told Elle Decor of their decision to live in New York in a previous interview.

“I also wanted to keep the kids as sheltered as we could from the paparazzi, and that scene is still very prevalent in LA,” Emma admitted. “It’s not bad in NY and it’s zero up where we live. The beauty of where we live is that it’s close to the city, so we get the best of both worlds.”

It isn’t just the location of the couple’s East Coast home that makes it prime real estate. On top of leaving the hustle and bustle of NYC behind, the couple is also walking away from a 9,000-square-foot, three-story main house with four separate homes on the estate’s grounds. And Bruce and Emma aren’t the only ones who are going to miss it.

“Our youngest daughter, Mabel, said last week that she wishes we could put lots of balloons on our house, like they did in the movie Up, and send it to the West Coast,” Bruce told The WSJ. “I agree, that would be perfect.”

But while that’s unfortunately impossible, we suppose Bruce, Emma and their kids are just going to have to keep lots of family photos of the 23-acre property. Perhaps the money they sell the house for will lessen the blow of their big move considering Ann Cutbill Lenane of Douglas Elliman, one of the couple’s listing agents, told the Wall Street Journal that Bruce and Emma’s home is on the market for a whopping $12.95 million. Wow!

Though the new owner will be paying a pretty penny for the Willis’ lavish mansion, the description of the property makes it seem well worth it. On top of having five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the house also boasts a chef’s kitchen, a cork-floored fitness room, a large children’s playroom and a 1,500-bottle wine cellar.

It only gets better. The outside of the house has a fenced-in tennis court, a 50-foot swimming pool and a spa with a cabana. On the rest of the 23-acre plot sits three detached residences, one of which is a three-bedroom farmhouse.

This is the third home the couple is looking to sell in just the past year. In October 2018, Bruce and Emma sold their Sun Valley, Idaho mountain residence for $5.5 million after it was on and off the market for a period of seven years. Prior to that, the couple also traded in their 6,000-square-foot Central Park West duplex for $17.75 million and instead bought a 3,000-square-foot condo near Lincoln Center for around $7.9 million, Variety reported.

We hope Bruce, Emma and their kids can find a perfect home in California and settle down for a little while!
