Brooke Shields Has Endless Love for Her 2 Daughters! Meet Rowan and Grier With Husband Chris Henchy

If you’re wondering why Brooke Shields loves being a mom so much, it’s because she was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Rowan Henchy and Grier Henchy. The Endless Love actress has been doting on her children ever since she first experienced motherhood nearly two decades ago.

Brooke shares her amazing family with her longtime husband, Chris Henchy. The iconic actress and the American screenwriter tied the knot during a romantic ceremony in 2001. Less than two years after their wedding, the couple’s first child, Rowan, arrived in 2003. Daughter Grier was later born in 2006.

Throughout the years of her Hollywood career, Brooke has done all she can to juggle her professional responsibilities and time with her husband and kids. However, she once opened up about the “moment where [she] realized” she wasn’t spending enough days at home with Rowan and Grier.

“I wasn’t putting my kids to bed at all. When you’re doing theater it’s almost impossible to put them to bed, and it really threw me for a loop,” the Jane The Virgin alum told Parents. “I have to work so when I’m not working, it’s easy to get caught up and say, ‘Oh, I’ll do that charity, or I’ll do that thing for you.’ And your kids are with the babysitter and it’s heartbreaking.”

Fortunately, Brooke has found a way to manage her busy schedule. Though it’s common to feel overwhelmed at times, the legendary model said she’s learned to embrace her flaws as a working mom.

“I would have thought that I would have become one of those parents — just because it’s my nature to be such a perfectionist — that anything falling short, I would have seen as a failure,” she once told People. “But something has happened to me over the past few years … I’m so appreciative of even the chaos. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being engaged.”

Aside from being always present for Rowan and Grier, Brooke makes sure to focus her time and energy on her TV producer husband. After being married for 20 years, a source close to the lovebirds dished how they continue to make it work.

“[Brooke] is very un-Hollywood. She and Chris have a great relationship,” an insider exclusively told Closer in May 2018. “Their kids come first, and they do all the things normal families do.”

Much like Brooke, Rowan and Grier also have a great sense of humor! When the siblings asked their mom why she never cooks, she had the funniest response.

“I’m sorry, I’m busy doing Christmas movies for you to watch,” the model said during a December 2022 appearance on The Rachael Ray Show. Chris usually takes on the cooking responsibilities for the family of four during the holidays each year.
