Brooke Burke’s 4 Kids Are Her Heart! Meet Her Children Neriah, Sierra, Heaven and Shaya
TV personality Brooke Burke is one proud mama! She coparents her two oldest kids — Neriah and Sierra — with her first ex-husband, Garth Fisher, and her younger children — Heaven and Shaya — with her second ex-husband, David Charvet.
“I raise all my children differently,” the former Dancing With the Stars host — who is now dating boyfriend Scott Rigsby — previously told Us Weekly. “I truly do. Just when you think you figured it out, you got to tweak your rearing skills.”
With four kids at home, Brooke has learned a thing or two about being a successful parent. One thing she tells her mom friends is to be confident in everything that you do. “Find your own way,” the Melissa & Joey star said. “Everybody’s going to tell you how to do it. Every mom’s out there doing something better than you. And I think we have incredible women’s intuition and we really have to follow that.”
That advice has helped Brooke a lot. By listening to her heart, the Need for Speed: Underground star has managed to have a great relationship with her children’s fathers. In fact, she said they’re “amazing” because they’ve learned how to have a “working divorce” and that’s the best thing they can do for their kids.
“Have a better relationship with your ex than [the one] you had when you were married,” Brooke explained. “That’s the goal!” But when the model announced she was separating from her second husband David in April 2018, Brooke could barely keep it together.
“Although I believe this is a positive change, I am deeply saddened because I loved being married,” the mother of four confessed on her blog, Modern Mom. But by walking away, the dancer learned the difference between “giving up and letting go” and even to realize “when it was time to do so.”
“I believe this is a necessary decision for my entire family unit,” Brooke said. Now, she gets along well with her exes and in November, she’ll be celebrating her one-year anniversary of dating Scott.
