Robin Williams portrayed many beloved characters, but he touched every generation with his role as the Genie in Disney’s animated flick, Aladdin.

On Tuesday night, a day after the 63-year-old committed suicide, the Broadway cast of Aladdin honored the actor with an audience sing-a-long of the crowd-favorite, “Friend Like Me.”

With lyrics placed inside everyone’s Playbill, James Monroe Iglehart, who won a Tony Award for his portrayal of the Genie, led the audience in an encore of the song after the curtain went down. A beautiful and unique way to remember an icon who made millions laughed.
