He may not be with Angelina Jolie anymore, but Brad Pitt isn’t allowing their divorce get in the way of being a great father to his six children.

The Once Upon a Time actor, 55, and his ex-wife, 44, were married from 2014 to 2016. They share kids Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Shiloh, 13, Zahara, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10. And while the Girl, Interrupted actress has been seen countless times in public with her children, Brad is also going above and beyond to create strong bonds with his little ones.

“They do simple things like cook or watch movies,” a source tells Us Weekly of the Moneyball star’s relationship with his kids. “He encourages them to pursue their hobbies. They love to hang out and talk. Brad talks to them about whatever is on their minds — he’s a great listener.” In even better news, coparenting between the A-lister and Angelina has been top-notch.

“He’s grateful that all the animosity is in the past,” the insider shared. “[The kids] come first. That’s what he’s most excited about — being a dad and sharing his life with his children.”

The famous ex-couple is very serious about making their kids a priority — they have even been using apps to become better at coparenting. “Brad and Angie have been coparenting, utilizing OurFamilyWizard, which has probably been one of the most beneficial tools for their family in terms of keeping things moving forward in the best amicable terms possible,” another source told the outlet. “Once Brad and Angie began using the platform, it allowed them to coordinate the kids’ schedules. They have very busy lives.”

Angelina’s father, Jon Voight, also confirms that all is well with the family. “The kids are great. They’re growing up,” the 80-year-old said at the International Champions of Jewish Values Gala earlier this year. “They’re doing very well. It’s just amazing to have kids and watch them grow. You realize the preciousness of time and how short our lives are really. Kids don’t know that. When they’re young, they think life is endless and they’re always anxious to get to the next age.” Well said!
