Acting may have been Brad Pitt’s first love, but that has changed over the years. The 55-year-old got candid about the entertainment industry in his cover story interview for GQ Australia and revealed his perspective is different now that he’s older.

Brad, who returns to the big screen with his role of Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, says he prefers being behind the scenes nowadays. “I’m behind the camera on the producing side and I enjoy that a lot,” Brad told the outlet for their July/August issue. “But I keep doing less and less. I really believe that overall it’s a younger man’s game — not that there aren’t substantial parts for older characters — I just feel, the game itself, it’ll move on naturally. There will be a natural selection to it all.”

Even so, the actor is still excited for what’s to come in the film industry — specifically regarding streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. “I’m curious to see what the future of lm [sic] is, what shape it takes,” he continued. “I really appreciate the streaming services because we’re seeing more and more quality projects being made. We’re seeing more writers and directors and actors getting a shot. It just tells you how many talented people are out there.”

“I like to think there’s room for both,” he added. “But I could be a dinosaur and not even know it, man. And the comet could be on the way.”

The Fight Club alum also gushed about working with Quentin, 56, for the second time — his first time being on the film Inglorious Basterds, which was released a decade ago. “Well, ultimately what draws me, and what draws us all, is working with Quentin. He’s such an original voice in the lexicon of film and his sets are just full of enthusiasm and delight. That’s why we’re there.”

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood hits theaters on July 26. We can’t wait!
