On season 27 of Dancing With the StarsBobby Bones got to lift the mirrorball trophy as the winner — and now the radio personality is revealing that the moment tops all the other ones in his life.

“I would probably call it my greatest achievement to date. Not the most important thing I’ve ever done,” the 39-year-old exclusively told Closer Weekly. “You know I’ve been involved in a lot of great causes but I think that was the one that no one expected. One, I’m not even famous and they put me on that show so that was a gift to begin with, and secondly I won when Vegas had me ranked last of everyone who had the chance to win — but I think it just shows the power of the people. I represent the people, and it’s one thing I learned — don’t mess with the people, because we’ll get you every time!” In fact, the New York Times bestselling author still has the trophy.

“I watched ‘DWTS’ with it in my bed last night for the second episode, and caressed it the whole night,” Bobby joked. “It was fantastic! Mostly it stays in my living room. I have a pedestal for it I put it on and everyone must bow to it when they come to my house.” Although, his dancing days are now officially over.

“I don’t dance at all. No, no, no,” Bobby confessed. “We go back to ‘American Idol‘ on Monday. We start shooting for the next season so me, Luke [Bryan], Katy [Perry], Lionel Richie, Ryan [Seacrest], we’re all back and we go to Savannah, GA and Milwaukee in the next couple weeks trying to find the next American Idol. I’m out on tour right now doing stand up in theaters across the country and I’m on a national radio show every day.”

However, now that he’s not gracing the stage, Bobby does have a few people in mind who might win it all on season 28 of the ABC show. “Well I have no bias whatsoever except for Lauren Alaina who I convinced to go on the show,” he revealed. “She came and performed on my season last year and Lauren is really one of my dear friends so I go, ‘Lauren you gotta do this show. You’re gonna love it!’ and so she postponed her whole tour and is on ‘DWTS’ right now. I also know Hannah B. …  and I spent time with James Van Der Beek as well, and I also think those three are the frontrunners right now too — between Hannah, James and Lauren.”
