In the new issue of Closer Weekly, Full House star Bob Saget shares a few surprising facts about his eight-year stint on the show.
Bob, 57, played America’s favorite dad, Danny Tanner, alongside John Stamos’ character, Uncle Jesse, and the two remain best buds. In fact, Bob reveals he was just at his former castmate’s house for a basement jam session.
“It’s totally surreal, like an episode of Full House,” he jokes with the mag.
Despite their closeness, Bob admits to Closer that he gets “a little jealous” of the attention John still receives — “he’s a freak of nature; his hair alone is amazing,” jokes Bob.
The jealousy was more intense when the show was filming. “It was a bit annoying when I was 30 and John was the sex symbol and I was playing the neurotic dad,” Bob tells Closer. “It bothered me a little bit back then but I got over it quickly."
Full House ended in 1995, but Bob tells Closer what he thinks the Tanners’ lives would be like if the cast reunited. “Everyone would be living in separate houses,” he says, adding that “Danny would still be single.”
