Quite the scary news! Earlier this month, Bob Barker was at his house in Los Angeles when he slipped and fell and needed medical attention.

It was confirmed to Closer that the 95-year-old — who, of course, is known for hosting The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007 — did not need to head to the hospital after his fall but did need to be looked at by medical professionals inside his home. According to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, no ambulance was on location for the TV icon following the incident.

Bob has had various health scares over the last couple of years. It was in the summer of 2017 that he suffered another fall and hit his head, this time in the bathroom of his home. Bob ended up calling 911 and paramedics arrived on the scene, but according to his rep, he actually requested that his housekeeper drive him to the emergency room instead of being taken by an ambulance. And this past November, the former host found himself at the hospital for severe back pain, just one month after he needed assistance after experiencing an “increased level of pain.”

Even though he’s up there in age and dealing with all these issues, it certainly does not seem like Bob will be quitting on us anytime soon, as it’s clear the man is made out of steal. A little while ago, he talked to Closer about the game show that made him a legend on its 60th anniversary. “People always like to win prizes,” he said at the time. “And they can win them without knowing who discovered America or anything in the way of history.”

Bob also revealed that Plinko is still the most popular Price Is Right game even after all these years. “All the contestants have to do is have Lady Luck give them a break and hope they walk away with a lot of money,” he added. Drew Carey continues to host the show today.
