After Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton had a fabulous Thanksgiving in Oklahoma this year, they’re now thinking about what they’re going to do for Christmas. However, the two lovebirds don’t have to come up with a lot ideas because they already have a few family traditions they like to do every year. One of them, of course, is making a yummy new dish.

“Me and Blake will have, like, a tradition of always trying something new that we’ve never — like, just look on the internet and find, like, a recipe, ‘That looks delicious. Let’s try that!’ You know?” the No Doubt front woman revealed to E! News

In 2018, the pair made the Italian dish timpano for their family gathering. It mainly consists of meatballs, penne pasta, marinara sauce and sausage hidden inside of a huge butter crust. When they made it last year, it was a rave with both of their loved ones.

“I wanted to do it again,” she said. “But he’s like, ‘No, our tradition is not a tradition.’ I was like, ‘OK, let’s move on.'”

Despite the scrumptious cuisine, Gwen’s children — Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 5 — with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale like to do a little tradition of their own. One that admittedly drives Blake up the wall.

“You know, it’s chaos. Let’s just face it,” he joked. “At our house, it’s literally chaos. There’s not one thing outside of just — they have that moment when they run through the wrapping paper wall that she sets up every year. That’s about the only thing that I think consistently happens. You know, one year, there will be a fight over a toy that the other ones didn’t get. And the next year, they all get along.”

If Christmas is chaotic, then we can only imagine what’ll happen when it’s time to celebrate the New Year. No matter what, we’re sure the couple can work through all of the boys’ antics together.

“He is a good dad, actually,” Gwen previously gushed about Blake on Today. “He’s been helping me out a lot.” That’s what family is for!
