Bindi Irwin Gives Fans a Sneak Peak of Her Wedding Dress: ‘I Said Yes!’
The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Two months after Bindi Irwin announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell, she revealed a glimpse of her wedding dress to Instagram and, by the looks of it, she is going for a traditional design.
“I said yes to the dress,” Bindi captioned a photo of her hand on Sunday, September 29. In the pic, Bindi appears to be in a wedding dress shop and, although you can’t see her whole body in the photo, you can see her engagement ring on her finger and a beautiful lace sleeve on her wrist.
After Bindi shared the romantic photo, her soon-to-be hubby, Chandler, 22, wrote in the comments section, “I can’t wait” with three heart-eyed emojis. He later added, “You’re going to be so beautiful.”
Bindi’s wedding is expected to be the event of a lifetime! However, since her dad, Steve Irwin, died at age 44 in 2006 from a stingray attack, he won’t be able to walk her down the aisle. Due to this, Bindi has already thought of a great person who can take her dad’s place: her 15-year-old brother, Robert Irwin.
“I think that for me, it’ll be really important that Robert walks me down the aisle. That’s something that I really want to do,” she told Entertainment Tonight in July. “I’m always so grateful that Robert is there, and he has been such a big part of my life and he’s always stepped up and been the one to give me a hug when I need it and encourage me forward in life.”
A few days before Bindi did that interview, she announced her engagement to her boyfriend of six years on Instagram.
“July 24th 2019 On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life,” she wrote. “Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I’m so looking forwarding to spending our forever together as your wife. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love. — Now let’s get married already!”
We can’t wait to see the full version of Bindi’s wedding dress!
