Well, Titanic didn’t end the way Billy Zane wanted it to!

In a fun new interview on Today, the 50-year-old actor confessed he wishes Rose (played by Kate Winslet) had ended up with his character, Cal, in the iconic 1997 movie’s finale.

“You think Rose made the wrong choice?” Today co-host Tamron Hall asked Billy, referring to Rose’s famous decision to leave her fiancé, Cal, for Jack (played by Leonardo DiCaprio).

“Yes, I think he found redemption by the end and I wish he did find [Rose] on the [the rescue ship] Carpathia and was able to right his wrongs,” Billy said.
